Jessy's Dream by Austin Long
13 year old Author publishes a book
Indianapolis, IN, February 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Indiana author, Austin Long has written a book for his English class. It then won a Gold level Scholastic Art and Writing award, which now the story will go to New York City to be judged for Nationals.
Austin Long wrote this 31 one page story called Jessy’s Dream, that is now available on Lulu.com to buy, in less than two weeks, and obviously the judges for the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest enjoyed it.
By his teacher sending in his manuscript to be judged, he was getting a great opportunity to get his story noticed. His seventh grade English teacher proofread and edited this heartwarming story and then Mr. Long took it home and fixed his story on his computer and uploaded the story on LuLu.com.
The book took him only a few weeks to write.
Mr. Long says: “Just a few weeks ago I thought my story wouldn’t even get an award, but I guess I was wrong.”
“Thanks to my teacher, parents and Scholastic, my book has won an award, and I am proud to be the author of it.”
This book is set in the city of Chattanooga, TN where his brother lives and where his brother will be getting married to his fiancé this summer. This is where Austin got the inspiration for the setting, and the heartwarming tale of Jessy’s Dream.
