Funding Feeding Frenzy announces the details of its March 2, 2017 event in Chicago that brings angel investor groups, startup founders, small business CEOs, entrepreneurs, venture capital firms and individual angel investors under one roof. This year's big event is at: VentureSHOT (744 N. Wells St., Chicago, IL 60654) 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm followed by the Big Splash Cocktail Party.
The Funding Feeding Frenzy was designed for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs and investors to give companies a chance to make their presentations in front of real, live investors... and possibly get funded. Companies who are raising funds can present to a panel of professional investors in one of three categories: Guppy Bowl (those raising less than $250,000.00 in seed money), Piranha Pond (those raising funds between $250,000.00 and $1,500,000.00) and Kraken Cave (those who need more than $1,500,000.00 in capital).
Similar to the ABC series Shark Tank, Funding Feeding Frenzy gives entrepreneurs the chance to present their business to investors. The Investors then conduct a question-and-answer session with the entrepreneurs. Some entrepreneurs will “Get Funded” by Investor Panelists or later by investors in the audience. These investors are using their own money and making their own deals. Other entrepreneurs may be told by investors the dreaded, “Go Fund Yourself” verdict.
Even if entrepreneurs don’t attain funding right away, the Investor Q&A session gives them insight on what changes might make their venture more profitable and more “fund-able.” And who knows how many investors might be lurking about in the audience. One company from a previous event received $750,000.00 in funding from Angel Investors.
Companies can also have a chance to entice investors by getting a demo table. The “Angel Investor Demo Table Tour” brings the investors from the Investor Panel and the audience around to the Demo Companies in a guided tour, so that the entrepreneurs can show off their products, services or apps in another chance to get funded or acquire customers.
Throughout the event, entrepreneurs will also have the chance to network with exhibiting companies and entrepreneur friendly sponsors that provide services to start-up and growth companies of all sizes.
Event check-in registration is at 5:30 p.m., and ends with the “Big Splash” cocktail party.
“The Funding Feeding Frenzy presents tremendous opportunities, both for entrepreneurs and investors,” said Bob Bock, one of the event’s organizers. “The Chicago Area has outstanding entrepreneurial talent, and the Funding Feeding Frenzy serves as a showcase for some of the future’s best and brightest in business.”
Those wishing to present must fill out an application form and make payment via website by Tuesday, Feb. 28th, at the latest. The application fee is $49. Select presenters will receive awards for “best in show” and “crowd favorite.” Get your tickets soon to present, reserve a demo table, or for general admission at http://www.fundingfeedingfrenzy.com.
During the event, the money panelists will tour the demo tables to learn more about the many entrepreneurs. This is an opportunity to get first hand advice from potential investors.
