Opening Reception for "Abstract" - March 4th, Beyond The Lines Gallery, Bergamot Station
"Abstract I" is the first installation of a two part series. In a city as diverse as Los Angeles, abstract art can be defined in many different ways. This show explores a range of styles from a talented group of emerging and mid-career artists.

Celebrated artist, Robbie Kaye, will exhibit two paintings from her original series, Treads, in the group exhibit, "Abstract 1" at Beyond The Lines Gallery in Bergamot Station, CA.
Kaye's work is created with acrylic paint, well-worn motorcycle tires and the adventures from the road.
Robbie borrows compositions she usually creates photographically and transfers them onto the canvas with well traveled motorcycle treads and acrylic paint, creating abstracts and impressionistic paintings.
Kaye’s works have appeared in The Griffin Museum, Jeanie Madsen Gallery, Camerawork Gallery, Lenscratch, LensCulture, Growing Bolder, Gourmet and Allure Magazine, Esquire,D. la Rebpubblica, Italy, Estetica Magazine (Brazil, Italy, Russia, China), Mashable and Yahoo to name a few. She has won international awards including the 2015 Paris Book Festival for her first monolith, Beauty and Wisdom.
