Medicare Supplement Insurance Online Agent Directory Relaunched by AAMSI
The national online directory of Medicare Supplement insurance agents was relaunched today by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
Los Angeles, CA, March 03, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Some 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day facing a decision regarding what Medicare insurance plan to chose. To help consumers connect with local Medicare Supplement insurance agents, the national online directory has been re-launched by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
"We've made significant improvements to the nation's leading online directory of local Medigap agents," states Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI). "Consumers can now simply enter their Zip Code and see agents located nearest to them with complete privacy. No one sees the consumer's identity and no one is selling their personal information."
Based on consumer feedback, the Association decided to make significant improvements to the online directory. "Consumers wanted the ability to find agents in their immediate area who they could meet with face-to-face to explore their Medicare insurance options," Slome notes. The relaunched system will display agents ranked by proximity to the Zip Code entered by the consumer.
"Our prior state-based agent directory was the largest independent listing of Medicare Supplement agents across all 50 states," Slome explains. "With the launch of the improved system, we will be populating the system with agents willing to help local consumers understand their Medicare options and available insurance choices."
According to the Association some 13.1 million Americans had a Medicare Supplement insurance policy in 2016. "The number of people with Medigap insurance has grown significantly over the past five years," shares Slome. "We started the online directory several years ago because we were simply unable to handle the number of consumer inquiries for information," he adds.
