The Gifted Gown 2017
The Gifted Gown is preparing for their annual community event, The Gifted Gown 2017, to provide a high-style prom shopping experience at no cost to guests.
Indianapolis, IN, March 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- This year’s event will be located at The Hatch, 6161 Hillside Avenue 46220, on Saturday, April 8th and will take place from 12pm to 5pm.
The entire community is welcome and each guest will receive the gown or tuxedo/suit of their dreams, shoes, an accessory item and free dry cleaning courtesy of Deering Cleaners Downtown. This event will be the largest The Gifted Gown has hosted and will highlight community partners throughout who are giving back to all Gifted Gown guests in a big way – 93.9 The Beat is their official radio partner, a fun popcorn bar sponsored by Just Pop In will be an added treat, special surprises and prizes from Project Purse Indy, Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word, Southern Sky Design, La Dolce Salon in Carmel, Cunningham Restaurant Group, Elegant Hair Designs in Greenwood, Lusicovi Creative and so much more!
Prom is a milestone that, according to a 2015 survey by Visa, is averaging nearly $1,000 per household. The Gifted Gown will help off-set this cost by providing a full ensemble for young women and men free of charge! Gown retailers RaeLynn’s Boutique, Ashley Rene’s and Bella Bridesmaids donated over 250 gowns, shoes and accessories to the non-profit; adding to the donations the organization receives all year long from private donors. In just four years, The Gifted Gown has helped over 400 people in the community and in 2017 it only gets better.
The Gifted Gown collects donations of new and gently used formal attire and accessories from the local community, organizations and corporations to gift to women and men who may need a helping hand with their special occasion celebrations. The organization prides itself in providing a safe, kind and understanding environment to all regardless of demographics or income level.
Those who want to donate items may drop off their new or gently used gowns, tuxes/suits, formal shoes, and accessories at:
