Media Advisory - the New Curry General Hospital, Gold Beach, Oregon
Gold Beach, OR, March 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Curry Health Network is pleased to invite media participation at events related to the historic opening of the new Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach, Oregon.
A VIP/Dignitary event, in addition to public Ribbon-Cutting ceremony with guided tours is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Please join them for this historic event. The new 62,097 sq ft state-of-the-art facility replaces what began as a small county hospital built in 1951. Fully supported by the community, residents of Curry Health District voted in 2013 by overwhelmingly passing a $10 Million general obligation bond to support the construction endeavor to replace the aged facility which no longer met building codes or patient needs.
With an approximate $34.8 Million investment in the building and equipment, the new hospital provides needed space to improve patient privacy and safety. With 18 inpatient beds, an emergency department ten times larger than the ER in the old hospital, and a myriad of other additions and improvements, the new Curry General is a jewel among rural hospitals.
Please see the advisory (available to download at www.curryhealthnetwork.com/docs/MEDIA_ADVISORY_-_NEW_CURRY_GENERAL_HOSPITAL.pdf) for Media Opportunities, including phone or in-person interviews with the CEO prior to the event, and to schedule site visits for stock footage if unable to attend.
In addition to the April 1 event, there are several more public events in the week prior, in addition to a future opportunity on the Patient Move Day, when the 65-year old hospital closes its doors forever and patients are moved to the new facility.
Patient Move Day Opportunities:
* Interviews and photos of First Patient in new hospital, & Last Patient in old hospital
* Film opportunities of ambulance transport of patients from old to new facility
* Interviews with CEO, Med Staff President, Board Chairman
More info on Patient Move Day to come later.
