The Georgia Nurses Association Shifts Gears to Care for the WHOLE Nurse at Inaugural Spring Family Expo
Atlanta, GA, March 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Georgia Nurses Association (GNA) is hosting its inaugural Spring Family Expo Saturday, April 15th, 2017 at 11:00am at their headquarters located on 3032 Briarcliff Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30339 (www.SpringFamilyExpo.Eventbrite.com). The purpose of the Expo is to become an active presence in the community while readily engaging their nurses and family members.
The GNA was established in 1907 to be the advocate for the nursing profession. Today, under the new leadership of CEO Mr. Marcus Downs, the GNA is also becoming a community pillar and active voice for legislative priorities. The extended mission for the GNA today is the take care of the WHOLE Nurse. Nurses have been long revered as selfless care givers. Nurses also need to be cared for and that is the position of GNA (www.GeorgiaNurses.org). Downs reports making sure the legacy of the Georgia Nurses Association becomes a true pillar in the community. Several member nurses who have participated in the new partner perks being offered have been quoted saying "We love the new GNA...! Taking care of the WHOLE Nurse, now that means something."
The Spring Family Expo is the first and largest community outreach initiative of its kind for the association. Attracting over 150 attendees, the expo is designed to reach out to the community to introduce GNA to them while welcoming nurses and their families for a fun filled day of engaging experiences.
