Chicago Civic Tech Campaign Begins with a Key Discussion About Helping Distressed Communities
Colony 5 Civic Tech Leadership Breakfast Kickoff Begins March 30th at Microsoft in Chicago
Chicago, IL, March 16, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Colony 5 is pleased to announce the launch of the 2017 Civic Tech Challenge. This 2017 campaign starts with the theme “Giving Distressed Communities a Seat at the High Tech Table. The discussion begins at the Civic Tech Leadership Breakfast March 30th at Microsoft 200 E. Randolph, downtown Chicago.
The Civic Tech Leadership Breakfast is hosted by Colony 5 and Microsoft and features:
• Introduction by Corliss King, 2017 CNT Apps Competition People’s Choice Winner
• Keynote by Danielle DuMerer, Chief Technology Officer, City of Chicago,
• Overview by Adam Hecktman, Director of Technology & Civic Innovation Microsoft
• Panel discussion moderated by Steven C. Philpott, CEO XtraMedium
“The longstanding lack of growth in our distressed communities now dictates and equal and opposing response that will produce measurable results in our lifetimes,” said Steven C. Philpott, Sr. “Recent announcements like the Blackstone Fund and Fund 77 are producing optimism.
