Per Scholas Receives Flywheel's Social Enterprise Award at Fast Pitch
Cincinnati, OH, March 19, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On March 1st, Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub presented the 2017 Social Enterprise Award to Per Scholas, Inc. The award was formally accepted by Per Scholas at this year’s annual Fast Pitch competition, hosted by Social Venture Partners Cincinnati. The Social Enterprise Award includes $5,000 worth of technical assistance from Flywheel to help the recipient grow their organization and increase their impact.
According to Flywheel Executive Director Bill Tucker, “Per Scholas was chosen for the Social Enterprise Award because of its potential for social impact, proven model, and opportunities for growth.” Flywheel is looking forward to assisting Per Scholas with market research and community networking to help them expand their reach. Upon accepting the award, Managing Director for Per Scholas Cincinnati Paul Cashen said, “We look forward to Flywheel’s assistance with fitting our programs to the current market and building new employer partnerships to connect our talented graduates with careers in IT.” The mission of Per Scholas, which is to promote economic growth and diversity in the IT workplace, aligns with Flywheel’s mission to support social enterprises that create significant, sustainable social impact in the local area.
