Mary's Center Welcomes 2 New Board Members

Both bring a diverse set of skills to guide and support the Center’s work.

Washington, DC, March 22, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Mary’s Center is proud to announce the appointment of two new board members whose expertise in policy advocacy, civil rights, human resources, and corporate communications will enable the Center to advance its mission of building better futures through the delivery of high-quality health care, education, and social services.

Todd A. Cox is the Director of Policy at the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. As a civil rights litigator and policy advocate, he has dedicated his legal career to public service with positions in the Federal government, including serving as a political appointee under the Obama administration; the non-profit sector; and the foundation world. Mr. Cox started his legal career as an honors trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He has testified before Congress and state legislatures, made numerous media appearances, and authored several articles. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Michelle Paquin serves as the Managing Director in the Career Management division of The Advisory Board Company, a health care and education research, technology, and consulting company. She oversees numerous human resource-related functions including learning and development, employee engagement, corporate communications, workforce strategy and analytics, corporate social responsibility, and diversity and inclusion. During her 20 years at the company, Ms. Paquin has held a variety of roles ranging from sales operations to recruiting and business partnership. She is a graduate of Colgate University.

The Mary’s Center Board is composed of 12 members, 51% of whom are patients of the Center.
