Atlanta, GA, March 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Island Links will join this year as one of Atlanta Georgia Relays International Meet official sponsors. In a statement, the company said it is very enthusiastic to be associated with the AGR brand and expressed its commitment towards helping the brand advance its global reach. The 3rd staging of Atlanta Georgia Relays takes place Memorial weekend, Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28 at Langston Hughes High School, 7510 Hall Road, Fairburn Georgia. The two day event is preceded by a Meet and Greet Press Conference on May 26.
This years’ event is expected to host over 2500 athletes, with competitors already confirmed from the Caribbean including Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Bahamas, Guyana and Barbados. The United States as well as Canada will also field some of their top High School and Track Club athletes as well. Many unattached athletes are also expected to be in attendance. Indications are that 2017 will far exceed previous years in participation and community support.
At its second staging in 2016, Atlanta Georgia Relays demonstrated its ability to carry out an intensive, heart pounding and exhilarating two days of competition with competitors ranging from as young as 8 years old. The meet then attracted athletes from seven countries with over 170 unattached athletes participating. The meet also doubles as a recruitment ground for the athletes. This is in sync with Atlanta Spartans’ mission to foster and facilitate the development of youths on an international scale.
