Kingston, Canada, February 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Sentry Security Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the new Sentry SE Series Embedded Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). These full-featured SE series DVRs support up to 16 cameras and use dual video stream compression technology to maximize recording quality without sacrificing remote transmission speed. Locally recorded video is compressed using MJPEG compression while video transmitted remotely is compressed using MPEG4 compression. Available with up to 4 hard drives, the Sentry SE Series DVRs manage and recycle video automatically and have the ability to back up video to a USB thumb drive.

The Sentry SE Series DVRs can be accessed remotely over Internet/LAN and support static or dynamic IP addresses; as well various models of PTZ cameras can be controlled, both locally and remotely. Operation can be by IR remote controller (optional), push button or mouse providing a comfortable “feel” for users.
