InsightMedi and Temple University Disrupt Dentistry Education with InsightDenti
A young company from Europe and a 154 year old School of Dentistry from the US join forces to bring the advantages of healthcare social platforms to the new age of adaptive education.
Madrid, Spain, April 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- InsightMedi and The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry (Temple University) today introduced InsightDenti, a novel cloud-based platform for dental faculty and dentists to share, in a secure space, patient cases for discussion and exchange of critical information. InsightDenti brings the advantages of cutting-edge social platforms to the healthcare ecosystem, focused on providing a secure environment where dentistry professionals, school faculty, and students can discuss clinical cases regardless of their level of expertise, geographical location, or device of choice.

InsightMedi’s role in the development of InsightDenti has been to make sure the School could extend this approach in education to a fully interactive online environment, by providing flexibility to the body of faculty and students, while at the same time taking advantage of InsightMedi’s expertise in creating a robust, compliant platform for social interaction in healthcare.
The launch of this new platform, focused today on dentistry for Temple’s own faculty and student body, has the potential to expand its reach and make a positive impact on the healthcare education system, by allowing the faculty’s clinical experience to be stored, automatically processed, and securely shared among a vast group of professionals. With the promise of improved communication among faculty, secured sharing capabilities for online consultation, and a SaaS distribution model for fast expansion, InsightDenti will make its way into the practitioners’ workflow while helping reduce consultation costs, reaching faster and more accurate diagnosis, removing geographical limitations, and ultimately improving the quality of care.
Taking advantage of the experience gathered for over three years of building InsightMedi’s own platform, InsightDenti’s design started with a vision of expandability. The whole system has been built over a newly created API that will allow InsightDenti, not only to perform efficiently, but to expand its capabilities with direct integration to other systems relevant to the dentistry community at Temple.
Additional features can be easily added to allow third-party systems to export images directly into an InsightDenti (e.g., from MiPACS), share cases securely with other platforms, stream video content from relevant external sources, implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for image analysis, and much more.
