EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay Chapter Hosts Its Spring Kick-Off Event
On Saturday, April 22, the Fox Cities/Green Bay Chapter of the EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association), is hosting its annual Spring Kick-off event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Golf Club, W1759 County Hwy UU, Kaukauna, WI.
Appleton, WI, April 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Members and the public are invited and you need not be a golfer to participate. Members and guests can register for summer golf leagues (there are 7 locations), learn more about the local chapter and the regional golf events, as well as social and networking activities. There will be a brunch buffet, door prizes and drawings. Registration and ticket purchase for the event is online at www.ewgafcgb.org under the events tab.
The keynote speaker will be Kelly McAnally, Tournament Director, Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic.
The LPGA is a corporate sponsor of the national EWGA franchise, and the local chapter is supporting this partnership through their involvement at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic being held July 3 - 9, 2017. “Our chapter is marshaling Hole 17, and I am Marshal Chair for the event, working with volunteers for all 18 holes,” stated Kathy Brewer, president of the EWGA Fox Cities/Green Bay Chapter. “This tournament is exciting for our area. Our organization looks for opportunities to give back to our community, and our involvement in the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic is another example," said Kathy. "At our Spring Kickoff in April, our Chapter is raising funds to support our junior athletes’ volunteer participation in the event. We feel it is so important to support our students, encourage their participation in volunteering, and this is a great way to help them grow their skills and gain a unique perspective of professional women in golf that you can’t get on the sidelines.”
