Hanbay Introduces New Fail-Safe Actuator for Swagelok's 83 Series Ball Valve

Montreal, Canada, April 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Hanbay has expanded its line of custom electric valve actuators by introducing the new explosion-proof fail-safe actuator on a ¼” ball valve. This light and compact actuator features a spring return fail-safe which closes the valve when its power is lost. The fail-safe actuator was built for Swagelok’s 83 series instrumentation ball valve, which has a pressure rating up to 10,000 psi. The design concept was inspired by the need for quick emergency valve shut off and quick opening afterwards to restore operation.

This 24 VDC powered actuator is built with a brushless DC motor. It easily integrates into any process control application and operates without the need to deal with finicky pneumatic systems. Its compact size is also advantageous for end-users and/or OEMS looking to maximize efficiency while minimizing space.
