PureLink Now Shipping Its UHD Video Over IP Solution Worldwide
Company’s VIP-300H-U AV over IP System Transports Ultra HD Audio and Video Signals over CAT or Fiber Networks.
Ramsey, NJ, April 16, 2017 --(PR.com)-- PureLink, a leading provider of digital connectivity solutions to commercial and residential audio/video and IT markets worldwide, today announced that they have begun shipping their new VIP300H-U USB/KM over IP extension system. This new system provides UltraHD/4K video, audio, RS-232, IR, and USB distribution and matrix switching capabilities over IP networks, with reliable signal transmission across both CAT and Fiber. The VIP-300H-U also offers end user features for easy setup and configuration of video wall displays, from multiple sources (up to 8x8). This 4K60 IP video system supports embedded HDMI, analog, and SPDIF audio and can be powered from 802.3af or higher (PoE) network switches.
The product can be used as a point-to-point extension system supporting distances up to 390 feet (120 meters), as well as multi-signal distribution, switching, and matrix switching system using PureLink's VPX IP Video Management Software. The VPX software provides automatic discovery of VIP transmitters and receivers and features an intuitive browser-based UI that allows users access from virtually any operating system or wireless device. Used in conjunction with the company's VIP-NET purpose-designed network switches, the VIP Series combines proven hardware components with a server-based control software application to provide a simple and intuitive user experience.
"The high data rates of competitive codecs in the IP Video space create reliability and performance issues when pushing the limits of a 1G switch port and CAT cable," stated Keith Frey, PureLink's Sr. Product Manager. "Using our proprietary PureStreamX Ultra codec, the VIP300H-U transports Ultra HD, 4K content at lower data rates, delivering exceptional video performance over existing IP networks," he added. "Our VIP300H-U will most commonly be running at only 270 Mbps, which means that we can have more endpoints on a 1G switch than most any other product available," concluded Mr. Frey.
