Homes for Heroes® Presents Colorado Nurses Association with National Hero Spotlight Award and $3,000 Donation
Minneapolis, MN, April 20, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Homes for Heroes® selects the Colorado Nurses Association as a National Hero Spotlight Award recipient and presents it to Terry Buxton, PhD, RN, CNE, Professor of Nursing at Regis University and President of the Colorado Nurses Association (CNA), along with a donation for $3,000 to the Colorado Nurses Association Foundation. The award presentation will take place Tuesday April 25, 2017 at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton located at 3801 Quebec Street in Denver Colorado between 11:00 – 11:30 AM Mountain Time.
The 2017 National Hero Spotlight Award given to the Colorado Nurses Association is to recognize excellence and professionalism in nursing. The Colorado Nurses Association has positively impacted the nursing profession as a model of support, services, representation and advocacy for nurses and the healthcare profession; not only in Colorado but nationwide.
When the Colorado Nurses Association’s President, Terry Buxton, was informed the CNA would receive a Hero Spotlight Award and a $3,000 donation to the CNA Foundation from Homes for Heroes she said, “That is wonderful and much appreciated.”
“This is the second presentation of the Homes for Heroes National Hero Spotlight Award, and we are honored to present it to President Terry Buxton on behalf of the Colorado Nurses Association for all they do to serve their members, who in turn serve all of us. We hope this award and donation help support the Colorado Nurses Association and its members, and the Colorado Nurses Association Foundation,” said Homes for Heroes Hero Outreach Coordinator, Steven Blackwell.
