Ernst & Young Announces Semifinalists for Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2017.
San Diego, CA, April 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Ernst & Young last week announced semifinalists for its Entrepreneur of the Year Award in San Diego, which includes Sayed Ali, president of Interpreters Unlimited, Inc. The semifinalists represent local entrepreneurs and business owners who demonstrate excellent leadership, create job opportunities, exhibit good financial health and are active in the local community.
“The recognition as a semifinalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award is a great honor. The program is admired by all of us in the business community and I am looking forward to what’s to come,” said Sayed Ali.
Sayed successfully increased IU’s revenues by 15-20 percent over the last three years and continues to invest in technology to improve operations company-wide. Additionally, since he acquired Interpreters Unlimited in 2007, it has been awarded multiple times on the Inc. 5000, San Diego Business Journal’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies list and Common Sense Advisory’s Top Language Service Providers in North America and Worldwide rankings.
Sayed also received this year’s “Minority-Owned Business of the Year” award by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s District Office of San Diego. As a board member of the Muslim Community Center of Greater San Diego, his commitment to the local community is seen inside and outside of the office.
This marks the second time in Sayed’s career he’s received this honor from Ernst & Young. Prior to Interpreters Unlimited, Ali was selected as a Finalist in 2003, when he was the CEO and Founder of Creative Host Services, an airport concessions eatery he built from the ground-up.
Ernst & Young expects to announce the finalists for the 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year award around May 22, 2017.
