Call for Entries - the "IPP Awards" (IPPA) Launched the iPhone Photo Contest
The IPPA launched the iPhone Photography Awards to encourage and inspire the creativity of the iPhone users. The IPPA strives to discover emerging talent, and to introduce creativity of iPhone users to the design community. The iPhone Photography Awards contest runs through March 31 and all photographers compete for the top award.
New York, NY, February 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Every once in a while someone breaks the convention and changes the way we do things. That's what iPhone did. It changed the way we use the mobile phone. The "IPP Awards" (IPPA) celebrates the simplicity in design and promotes the appreciation of photography. The IPPA strives to discover emerging talent, and to introduce creativity of iPhone users to the design community.
The IPPA creator, Kenan Aktulun, is an avid photographer and design enthusiast who said the contest started with the iPhone. “When I got my iPhone I was very impressed and fascinated by how much it changed my use of a cellphone. I started seeing the similar effect in other iPhone users behaviors as well. So the idea of this competition is to celebrate this change and encourage the creativity of the iPhone users. Initially I setup the award as a beta to inspire the iPhone owners but the overwhelming response led it to where currently is,” Aktulun said.
The iPhone Photography Awards contest runs through March 31 and all photographers compete for the top award, the IPPA Photographer of the Year and an iMac 20-inch, 2.0GHz computer. The work of the top winner and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Winners on each category will be publicized on IPPA online gallery and published in the IPPA Annual Book.
