Global Keynote Speaker Holly Dowling Joins Former Fox News Host Gretchen Carlson at 7th Annual Conversations with Extraordinary Women

Scottsdale, AZ, April 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Global Keynote Speaker & Scottsdale resident, Holly Dowling, recently joined Former Fox News Host Gretchen Carlson on April 20th for the 7th Annual Conversations with Extraordinary Women in Danbury, CT.
This high-energy, much anticipated event brought together stories & insights on women’s empowerment and parity in the corporate arena. The evening’s topics ranged from professional challenges of women, to empowering girls while they are young, and how to ultimately help women achieve equality. The event was well attended and featured local business leaders, Miss America contestants, & representatives from the Connecticut General Assembly, among others.
Dowling’s experience as the former vice president of an international brokerage firm and founder of The Executive Women’s Empowerment Program allowed her to share the unique strategies and tools she’s used to help women own their voice. Acknowledging both the professional and personal challenges faced as a woman, she shared the overwhelming importance of appreciation, stating, "We're all humans. We all want to feel appreciated and significant."
When asked how to help women achieve parity with men, Dowling’s response resonated with attendees, "Parenting is the key to equality. Raise kids before they're lost." She also highlighted the importance of educating and empowering young women as they are growing up, sharing her experiences working with The United Nations Foundation’s movement, Girl Up. Ultimately, Dowling left the audience with her mantra - "Tell me no, watch me go," encouraging event attendees to always stand up for what they stand for and have their voices heard.
The event also featured former Fox News anchor, Gretchen Carlson, who was recently named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. Carlson echoed the sentiments of women’s empowerment, sharing her experiences working in television broadcasting and her work to fight sexual harassment in the workplace. Carlson, who launched sexual harassment investigations that ultimately ousted Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, shared that while she "didn’t expect to be the face of sexual harassment" she was happy to "seize the day" and rise to the need.
