Gear VR Gets Its First Retro Console Game
Solomons Lair Studios in partnership with Frag-Games and Intellivision Lives announce the release of their first Virtual Reality title “Minotaur” based on the original Intellivision console game “Treasures of Tarmin” published in 1981.
Boston, MA, April 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The title will initially be released for the Samsung Gear VR, with support for other mobile and PC headsets soon to follow.
Brian Ornstedt, Founder of Solomons Lair Studios explains, “There is currently a huge demand for both Virtual Reality and retro-gaming at the moment and it seemed like a great time to drive development of my favorite game as a child but also the entire library of classic Intellivision titles.”
With a library of over 120 titles, Intellivision was one of the most popular gaming consoles of its generation, noted for its advanced graphics, sound and gameplay.
30-40 Intellevision titles are planned within the next few years across a wide range of gameplay and genres, giving VR hungry retro gamers plenty of content.
