Artificial Greenery a Hit for CCGrass at Two Major Russian Exhibitions
Gamble for artificial turf company pays off as Russians embrace their products in 2017 exhibition season.
Nanjing, China, May 17, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Russia is a market full of potential, especially in the infrastructure construction industry. CCGrass, the world’s largest producer of artificial turf, exhibited at two major expos in the capital Moscow last month.
Dating back to 1995, Mosbuild, took place from 4 to 7 April, 2017, in Moscow’s Expo Centre, and was attended by 64,490 visitors plus 1,200 Russian and international exhibitors, representing a cross section of the building and interiors sector.
With only 6 percent of exhibitors from foreign countries (as opposed to 62 and 32 percent from Moscow and other regions of Russia), China-based CCGrass took the chance to stand out from the crowd in showing off their world class artificial turf solutions.
CCGrass Salesman for the Russian market, Michael Xia, was one many company representatives who traveled to Moscow for the exhibition. He said of the experience, “To be honest, we really didn’t have faith in the sales of landscaping grass in this land, because it is maybe not a necessity to locals. For attracting visitors, we even picked out a cartoon figure from Russian classics; Cheburashka, a bear which looks like Mickey Mouse, as the picture of our cartoon turf. It was proved later that the pretty bear really helped us to get popularity. Children, adults, grandpas and grandmas, despite their age, they were all willing to take a picture with him.”
In spite of harsh weather, shortage of sunlight, less greenery, they still want their life painted with green, and that’s exactly what CCGrass dedicates to offer to clients; an alternative to natural grass.
CCGrass then went on to exhibit their wares at the Sports International Exhibition 2017, another 3 day expo that was held later in April in Moscow’s Sokolniki Park Museum and showcases products from the sport, toy and game industries. As a sign of the firm’s confidence in the market, CCGrass specially installed four synthetic football turf system models that attracted much attention from the show’s visitors. Michael fondly recalled, “Even when the minister of Sports Department of Russia, Mr. Kolobkov walked by, he couldn’t help having a touch of them!
“When we mention Russia, the stereotype of this country and people there can always be concluded by one word: 'cold'. But to us, it was a wonderful experience in Russia. Moscow welcomed us with enthusiasm and kindness. The weather was still cold when we were about to leave, but I felt warm, imaging how beautiful the city would be with green decor everywhere.”
