Accelerate PHL put on their second Acceleration summit, “Disruption and Diversity In Technology,” on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 as a part of Philly Tech Week. Accelerate PHL looks to educate and support entrepreneurship and small businesses while emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
Philadelphia, PA, May 19, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Accelerate PHL CEO and founder, Kysha Woods has been an entrepreneur for 22 years and is now using her experience to support others while making diversity her mission. Establishing stronger tools, attracting talent and building a more-defined pathway for entrepreneurs and new ventures is mission-critical for Philadelphia. Accelerate PHL partners with community, educational, and professional organizations to provide these tools in order to support businesses and empower people in their careers. The event, which was held at Wework (1601 Market St.) ran all day from 12PM-8PM allowing individuals to attend different panels such as, Human Resources and Recruiting, Shared Economy, Women’s Panel, a fireside chat: “Disrupting The Status Quo,” Art & Entertainment in Technology, and more. Some topics covered were, entrepreneurship, education, job opportunity, gender equality and more with diversity being the central theme.
Councilman Oh was also in attendance at the “Disruption and Diversity in Technology” summit to present a citation from the city of Philadelphia to Earl Pace, Co-founder of BDPA & Owner of Pace Data Systems, and Dr. Joi C. Spraggins, President of Legacy Pathways LLC, recognizing their work in promoting diversity and supporting minority businessmen and women in their careers.
Accelerate PHL continues to organize events in Philadelphia multiple times a year. However, the company’s goal is to educate people and businesses across the nation while promoting diversity. Accelerate PHL is already preparing for the next annual Acceleration Summit, which will be held in Philadelphia as apart of global entrepreneur week in November.
