Great Human Race 30ft. Vinyl Graphic Wall Mural Scheduled for Downtown Durham

Durham, NC, February 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Members of the media are invited as Downtown Durham engages in its first ever wall wrap advertisement located at the Peabody Place wall, 112 S. Duke St. on February 15, 2008 at 9:00am. The nation’s first wrap advertising agency, Cranky Creative Group has collaborated with the Volunteer Center of Durham to put up a 30 ft. vinyl wall mural to advertise the Great Human Race in hopes of gaining community participation. The one-of-a-kind advertisement will be in place from February 15, 2008 until the end of the race on March 29, 2008.

By applying a specialty vinyl that conforms to textured surfaces like brick and stucco, the wall mural will be applied in large 54” x 25’ sheets using a heat gun and an application tool. Incorporating conceptual wrapping techniques, Cranky Creative Group has uniquely designed the wrap to look as though the runner is breaking through a wall of bricks.

The Great Human Race is a community-wide fundraising event that provides an opportunity for any nonprofit agency, school or place of worship to raise money for their own programs and enables businesses and individuals to support the nonprofit of their choice.
