The Carrefour Group Selects Highdeal for Its Mobile Telephone Services
In the highly competitive MVNO sector, Highdeal Transactive® has enabled Carrefour Mobile to rapidly launch a new postpaid offer combining voice, SMS/MMS and content.
New York, NY, February 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Highdeal, the world’s leading provider of Pricing and Rating solutions was selected by Carrefour and its partner Experian to manage the Carrefour Mobile postpaid offering.
In November 2006, Carrefour Mobile introduced a new prepaid, no-contract, mobile phone service and complemented this with a postpaid offer in September 2007. This new package was successfully and rapidly deployed within a few months thanks to the Highdeal Transactive® solution, which comprehensively met Carrefour's expectations. In addition, the deployment and business flexibility of Transactive has given Carrefour Mobile the confidence to enter further commercial development stages.
Rapid and effective launch with Highdeal Transactive®
The Carrefour Group has been a leading player in the telecommunications sector for the past 13 years both in France and throughout Europe. Using its in-depth knowledge of the market, Carrefour established Carrefour Mobile – an MNVO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) in 2006 in order to launch a highly competitive prepaid offer. The group had two major strategic aims at the time: to create a new growth driver for the company and to develop a new incentive to attract and build customer loyalty.
In March 2007, after the success of this prepaid offer, the Carrefour group planned to launch a new offering with three postpaid packages, and accordingly researched the market in pricing and billing solutions, with an eye to setting up a tailored back-office structure. Along with its project partner Experian, Highdeal was selected based on the effectiveness and the rapid operational time to market of the Highdeal solution. After successful testing by Carrefour’s own staff, the postpaid offering was launched for the end of the summer holidays in September 2007.
Information systems and implementation management
Since it was created, Carrefour Mobile opted for a “lean” structure, that is - a model based on BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), requiring limited business and technical staff with a view to establishing greater responsiveness and competitiveness. The pre and postpaid customer bases have now been integrated into a single CRM system, giving the operator the benefit of a global view of its customer pool (to date over 100,000). Call reports are consolidated and managed by a single server, and billing is carried out by Experian acting as the MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler). Highdeal Transactive is the solution at the heart of this organisation, providing the single-solution flexibility needed to support new Carrefour Mobile services in the short or medium term.
“As an MVNO, our main objective is to offer our customers the most relevant and attractive services and products available, and this includes, most notably, the nine million households that own a Carrefour loyalty card. Our success is determined by our ability to quickly respond to the needs of our clients and this was particularly true at the end of the 2007 holiday season,” said Sébastien Mesnil, who is in charge of Carrefour Mobile Business. “We are very happy with Highdeal’s contribution to the launch of this postpaid offering. We also appreciate the agility and the single solution nature of Highdeal Transactive®."
"We are particularly pleased to have been chosen by Carrefour to support them in their diversification strategy. The offering is very attractive and, in Highdeal Transactive, Carrefour has equipped itself with the right solution to achieve its objectives. The prime asset of Transactive in this market is its ability to quickly implement a flexible solution, which adapts to new services on an ongoing basis without upgrades or code changes, both from the point of view of end-customer billing and with regards to partner management," observed Eric Lavenir, Highdeal Executive Vice President, EMEA Sales.
