About John Boyd

Mr. Boyd serves as a Managing Principal, Patent Transactions at TechInsights. Mr. Boyd brings eight years of Product Management experience at TechInsights to the Patent Transactions team, having worked extensively with our Technical Services department to increase profitability of existing services and develop new business for the Company. Previous to TechInsights, Mr. Boyd worked as a Project Engineering Manager at Lam Research, where he helped define and manage joint R&D and development programs with industry and academic leaders. He also brings extensive experience in process architecture in the Semiconductor industry through previous work at Nortel Networks and Strasbaugh. Mr. Boyd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Chemistry from the University of Ottawa. The inventor of well over 200 patents in semiconductor technology, Mr. Boyd brings exceptional knowledge and expertise to the company from both sides of the intellectual property ecosystem, helping clients develop and execute IP monetization programs.
