Aceable Wins Austin A-List Award at Chamber Event
Austin startup recognized in “Growth” category by the Austin Chamber of Commerce
Austin, TX, June 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Aceable, creator of the first state-approved native mobile drivers ed, defensive driving, and real estate continuing education courses was recognized as a winning company last Wednesday at the Austin Chamber of Commerce’s A-List Event at Moody Theater.
The annual event focuses on recognizing up-and-coming Austin companies in the different stages of the startup lifecycle and increasing their visibility and recognition as innovators. The event also aims to help aid in recruiting additional venture capital investments and top talent to the Austin, TX area.
While over 170 companies were nominated in 2017, just six were selected as winners in each of the three categories- Innovation, Growth and Scale. Aceable was selected as a winner in the Growth category which included nominees that have received funding between $1M-$10M. “I’m especially excited to have won this award because of the recruiting opportunities it brings with it. We’ve worked hard to make Aceable a great place to work and now even more people will be exposed to that,” said Geni Glynn, HR manager at Aceable. Aceable currently has a number of open career opportunities available on their website.
“We were beyond thrilled to win in the Growth category,” stated Blake Garrett, founder and CEO of Aceable. “Getting recognized at this event has been a goal of ours. Receiving an award in 2017 speaks tremendous volumes about the amount of growth and progress we’ve made in the last year alone.” Judging criteria for the event was based on Innovation, Achieveability, Sustainability and Leadership.
Aceable drivers ed is currently available to students in California, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Florida and Nevada with plans to launch in Pennsylvania in the coming weeks while defensive driving courses are available in Texas and California. AceableAgent, the new real estate vertical launched by the company this year, is currently available in Texas for continuing education with plans to launch pre-license in the future.
