Seclore Technology and Guardian Technologies Join Forces for Infosecurity Europe 2017

London, United Kingdom, June 04, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Seclore Technology, the leading provider of Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM) solutions, and Guardian Technologies – the data security and risk management specialist - are joining forces at InfoSecurity Europe 2017 (Stand F175). The companies are presenting their integrated data-centric security solutions and managed services, as the value and security of data rises rapidly up the corporate agenda.

A recent survey from ESG, Securing Information in the Age of External Collaboration, concludes that more than 1 in 4 companies believes it's very likely that sensitive data has been stolen by third party vendors. 98 percent of respondents cited the loss of sensitive data as a top or significant concern. Commonly stated reasons for data loss include emails sent to the wrong person (67 percent), unauthorized access (64 percent) and lost portable storage devices (61 percent).

Seclore helps organizations secure their sensitive data regardless of how or where it travels. Protection remains with the files when open or stored on mobile devices and laptops and if they are shared via any file sharing service or email solution. File owners can also dynamically modify usage controls or revoke access on previously distributed files.

Suchindra Potnis, Vice President Business Development at Seclore, comments: “InfoSecurity Europe provides the perfect opportunity and platform to present our advanced data-centric security solutions to major European enterprises. Data losses are at all-time high and information centric security is gaining momentum, highlighted by the recent global ransomware attacks, so our timing is very appropriate. Data security is being pushed to the top of the corporate agenda, highlighted by the countdown to the introduction of the GDPR in less than 12 months’ time.”

Rupert Beeby, Managing Director at Guardian Technologies, adds, “We are delighted to be joining Seclore at the InfoSecurity Europe event and believe the enterprise digital rights management solutions will attract a lot of interest from our existing clients and visitors to the show, who are looking for advanced solutions to help protect data, and manage risk.”

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law designed to unify and normalise the data protection framework within the European Union (EU). It comes into effect on May 25, 2018. GDPR sets rules on how data is stored, how it is secured, how it is accessed and how it is moved. It not only affects EU companies, but any company that provides goods or services to EU residents, or tracks their online habits. Repeated non-compliance will result in fines of up to EUR 20 million, or as much as 4% of the total worldwide annual turnover of the preceding financial year, whichever is higher.

Seclore has recently won prestigious awards such as ‘The Security Industry’s Coveted Global Excellence Awards’ and was honored by the ‘Info Security Products Guide’ in San Francisco in 2017. The company has also been named as the ‘Best Data-Centric Security Solution’ and was honored as a winner in the ‘2017 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards’. Seclore was recently mentioned in the Gartner Market Guide for Information-Centric Endpoint and Mobile Protection, in which Gartner identified Seclore as a representative vendor for Cloud and EDRM information protection methods profiled in this research.
