City to Hold Public Meeting on Housing Study
Marlborough EDC will hold a public meeting to review housing study preliminary findings.
Marlborough, MA, June 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) will hold a public meeting to share initial results of a recent Marlborough housing study and solicit feedback from local community members.
The MEDC had commissioned economic planning and real estate consulting firm, RKG Associates, to conduct a housing needs and feasibility assessment of Marlborough, after the City Council signed off on a temporary cessation on the issuing of special permits for housing projects in March.
The public meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, June 13, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Marlborough Senior Center, will give community members the opportunity to learn more about the details of and give their feedback on the study. All Marlborough residents and business owners are invited to attend.
““It is important for the city to involve the local community in future planning of residential developments,” said MEDC executive director, Meredith Harris. “Marlborough’s economy has grown tremendously over the past few years, and we want to continue fueling that growth in a responsible and educated way that will support our residents and businesses. We look forward to hearing the public’s feedback on this important issue.”
