Whitefish Credit Union Receives Two Gold Awards from the Marketing Association of Credit Unions
Whitefish, MT, June 10, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Whitefish Credit Union received two Gold awards from the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC), which recognizes exceptional marketing within the credit union industry.
The MAC Awards have been recognizing the best of the best in marketing achievements in the credit union industry since 1986. Entries are evaluated for their campaign objectives, target audience, overall strategy, competitive factors and, when applicable, the return on investment that was achieved. Each entry is then scored based on a set of best practice marketing criteria including planning, creativity and results.
Whitefish Credit Union, along with Grid Marketing, its marketing agency of record, took bold steps to develop innovative new campaigns for Montana's largest credit union in 2016. From generously supporting public schools to working with members to create their moments that matter, these campaigns served to add value in the communities where the Credit Union operates.
"We have a significant responsibility to serve our members in the best way possible," said Eldon Tilley, vice president of marketing at Whitefish Credit Union. "That includes doing what we can to save our members money, improve their financial well-being, and add value to the communities we serve."
Whitefish Credit Union received a Gold award in the newly added Community Engagement category for it's "High School Spirit" debit card campaign, which served to strengthen the strong relationships Whitefish Credit Union enjoys with the communities it services. Taking a hyper-local approach, the Credit Union worked with and alongside faculty and students from seven Northwest Montana schools to create a campaign that ultimately gave back more than $12,000 to several high schools in its field of membership. This showcased the creativity and strategic openness to risk taking that have put the Credit Union at the forefront of the local financial industry.
The Credit Union also received a Gold award for the creative design and production efforts relating to its Annual Membership Report. The Annual Report is a comprehensive report on the Credit Union's activities throughout the previous year, and is intended to give Whitefish Credit Union members and other interested parties information about the Credit Union's financial performance, including financial figures, achievements, and growth. Although it can be primarily a fiscal document, Whitefish Credit Union approaches their Annual Report as an essential form of accountability to their membership, reporting their plans for the future of the organization, re-affirming their obligations and responsibilities, and demonstrating their commitment to a high level of service.
The awards were presented by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions, a volunteer-led organization comprised of an elected board of directors. MAC was built to exchange ideas, build relationships, and foster professional development in marketing. Whitefish Credit Union's achievements were recognized at the 2017 MAC Conference, held May 30 - June 2, 2017 in Austin, Texas.
These are the fourth and fifth national awards received by Whitefish Credit Union for their 2016 campaigns.
