Melbourne, FL, June 12, 2017 --(PR.com)-- MultiGP Spec Class
From NASCAR to motorcycle racing, the concept of Spec Class racing has been around for years. The idea is simple enough – if you make all of the vehicles similar, with similar specifications (Spec), then the competition is boiled down to pilot skill not vehicle superiority. This puts all of the competitors on a level playing field, and allows the pilot’s skill to be highlighted. Without being able to rely on a more powerful craft to give an advantage, the pilots will have to out-fly, not out-build, their competition.
MultiGP wants the input of our pilots in choosing the components for this new race class. We are asking all pilots who are considering competing in the Spec Class to visit the Spec Class component selection page (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2017mgp-spec-vote) and vote for the components that you would like to see in the Spec Class. If your MultiGP pilot account has been created before May 15th, 2017 you are eligible to vote for the choice of components. Voting is going strong right now, and ends on June 22nd at 11:59 P.M. EST.
There will be several choices for each component (frame, motor, ESC, etc.), the component choices have been selected based on their similar performance characteristics. After all of the votes have been tabulated, MultiGP will announce the components that have been selected for the Spec Class. Each component category will have multiple choices of similarly performing parts, allowing pilots to assembly their race drone based on their component preference.
The MultiGP Spec Class is guaranteed to be the beginning of a historic chapter in drone racing. Be sure to vote for your choice of components today, and get ready to compete. Announcement of the selected components will be at the end of this month, so make your selections now.
Be ready for the $5,000 purse the will be awarded at the MultiGP International Open. For more details on the International Open follow this link - http://www.multigp.com/news/47/2017-MultiGP-International-Open-Update
