Governor Scott and House Speaker Corcoran Visit Creative Sign Designs as Part of Florida State-Wide Tour
Tampa signage manufacturer was selected to host the Governor of Florida and the House Speaker in a press conference to announce the results of the concluded legislative session.
Tampa, FL, June 16, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Following the conclusion of a special session called by Governor of Florida Rick Scott, he and House Speaker Richard Corcoran embarked on a state-wide tour of five Florida cities on Tuesday, June 13. Beginning in Miami, Scott and Corcoran traveled to West Palm Beach and Fort Meyers before arriving in Tampa at 3:30 p.m. at the Creative Sign Designs, LLC headquarters.
Creative, a local signage manufacturer that services the entire state of Florida and the southeastern United States, was selected as the Tampa host for the press conference delivered by Scott and Corcoran.
“We have a new growth fund we worked on with the Department of Economic Opportunity to focus on public infrastructure and job training,” said Governor of Florida Rick Scott. “When we do that, we are going to see more jobs. We’ve been adding about 20,000 jobs a month, month in and month out. When you do that, you sell more signs!”
Governor Scott introduced Speaker Corcoran to the audience of about 100 Creative team members and distinguished local guests.
“This is a landmark decision and I think you are going to see the other 49 states follow the governor’s lead and go down a path of infrastructure, education and drawing businesses and keeping them here,” said House Speaker Richard Corcoran.
This visit to the Creative facility was intended to highlight an all-time high of K-12 per-pupil spending, the establishment of the $85 million Florida Job Growth Grant Fund, full funding for VISIT FLORIDA, and $50 million to kick-start repairs to the Herbert Hoover Dike surrounding Lake Okeechobee.
“We are so honored to have had Governor Scott and Speaker Corcoran visit Creative Sign Designs today,” said Creative Sign Designs’ President & CEO Jamie Harden. “We are grateful that our elected officials have worked out a budget that allows for continued funding for economic development and full funding for VISIT FLORIDA. The work that these organizations do directly impacts our business and will help us continue to grow.”
Governor of Florida Rick Scott said, “It was great to celebrate major wins for Florida’s families, students and environment at Creative Sign Designs as part of my “Fighting for Florida’s Future Victory” Tour today. These important investments will help us continue to create opportunities across our state for generations to come and we appreciate the support of local job creators like Creative Sign Designs. We will keep working together to make Florida the best place for families and job creators to succeed.”
