Charlotte, NC, June 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- About Flora H. Sowell
Flora H. Sowell is the owner/operator of Flo's Home Healthcare in Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned her L.P.N. at Central Piedmont Community College. (She received her nursing degree from Carolina Medical college in 1972). Ms. Sowell has 40 years of experience in Geriatrics and specializes in personal care, medication, geriatric and Alzheimer patients. She attributes her success to her faith in God and her parents. She grew up as a sickly child and found her calling to be a nurse through the great care that she received from her nurses. Ms. Sowell has been a member of the International Nurses Association since 2014 and is also affiliated with the LPN Association. She has been honored by the Charlotte Observer for Nurses Week, rated as a Top Nurse in her area and has spent much of her time volunteering for her church for the last 8 years to the present. The LPN Journal is one of her favorite reading materials. Scott Stone, Executive Vice President of 2 Brothers Worldwide Publishing says of Flora Sowell: “I have known ‘Flo’ for a relatively short time, but even in that stretch I have observed her to be a consummate professional, a caring individual and a truly one-of-a-kind person. She has known her fair share of hardships, like most of us, yet she has persevered as a true powerhouse in her industry… just ask her adoring patients. I have personally handled Flora’s biographical and marketing matters through my firm since last year, and I am consistently awestruck by how quickly and strongly our business relationship – and, yes, even friendship – has evolved. She is here only to spread good – without compromise, without personal agenda, without any of the stuff that typically clouds a plight like hers. That, to me, is just so refreshing.” Mr. Stone was instrumental in moving forward Ms. Sowell's career in 2016 and helped promote her career in the press. In December 2016, Flora Sowell’s company was featured on the larger-than-life digital billboards in Times Square, New York City (see feature photo). This was a well-deserved thrill for both Ms. Sowell and her patients. Flo, as she is known to friends and family, doesn’t have a whole lot of free time, but, when she does, she loves surfing the web on her iPad. However, there is no past time or passion dearer to Ms. Sowell than caring for her six precious cats (two indoor; four feral). In fact, the unofficial slogan of Flo’s Home Healthcare is: “For Purrfect Care.”
