Wingert-Jones Publications announces an excellent new look to their web site wjpublications.com. New features to the website include complete catalog listings, a featured composer’s gallery, top-sellers, and a concert planner for music directors featuring lists of concert works, Christmas and Holiday, classical selections and more. The improved web site highlights new titles in each of their educational music series' and customers can see and hear the music for many titles. Ron Allen of Wingert-Jones says this is an “…extremely attractive and convenient site when looking for concert materials at all levels.”

Wingert-Jones Publications was established in 1964 to showcase Emperata Overture, the newest composition of a then-unknown composer from Nebraska, Claude T. Smith. For the next 25 years, Wingert-Jones featured Smith's compositions, including many commissions by Washington, D.C. military bands. Smith became recognized as one of America's leading composers of music for bands, and Wingert-Jones earned the reputation as a leading publisher of band music. Wingert-Jones is proud to feature many fine editions of works by John Philip Sousa, as well as some of today’s leading band and orchestra composers, including Col. John R. Bourgeois, Robert E. Foster, David Holsinger, Daniel Bukvich, Gary P. Gilroy, Marcus Dowty, David Gorham, Kirt Mosier, and Larry MacTaggart.

Wingert-Jones Publications also looks forward to the release of a new band series coming out this summer. Ron Allen says, "Our new Early Achievement Series for beginning bands will feature works for first year players and debut in the fall of 2008. Written by very talented composers and educators, these selections offer a wide variety of creative and educational works for beginning bands." In regards to the newest music series, Robert Foster, Educational Consultant for Wingert-Jones says, “The recent expansion of the new publications to include music for very young bands, as well as music for bands at every level, makes the Wingert-Jones musical offerings among the most comprehensive in the nation. We are pleased to make them available to the discerning teacher and conductor.”
