Hal Bevers, steps beyond the "challenges" of being born deaf and has created an eco friendly product called ButtonUp™ which allows you to attach photos, shopping lists, messages, menus and more. He wants to show the world that if he can do this, anyone can.

ButtonUp™ is a new revolutionary, stylish and functional alternative to magnets in which the owner coined the phrase "Forget Fridge Magnets." Made with the planet in mind, ButtonUp™ is a translucent sheet constructed from bio-degradable, post-consumer recycled materials and is a great tool for containing the stuff of life on your fridge or just about any surface.
ButtonUp™ allows you to attach photos, shopping lists, messages, menus and your kiddos' finest artwork without multiple magnets or thumbtacks and includes suction cups to adhere to windows. It attaches to most surfaces and can be used at home, at school, in the tightest of dorm rooms or at the office to create a clean, well-organized space.
To make the project a reality, Hal is raising funds through the online crowdfunding website Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1185840938/buttonup-tm-11-forget-fridge-magnets?ref=24fs99 ) and the goal of the campaign is to raise a minimum of $1,500 within 32 days. The funds will be used to increase inventory, finish paying for the website, advance their technology for Green products and with the hopes of raising more, to keeps costs down and continually Made in the USA.
Hal says that "It happened when we were juggling one of our kids and mooning over pictures on our refrigerator. As we watched photos from last summer’s birthday party fall to the floor, we saw the future."
Life always comes with challenges and struggles and this is apparent with Hal Bevers. Born deaf, who at four years of age attended a special school where he learned how to talk. By the time Hal was 18 he learned First ASL (sign language). Hal speaks well and reads lips which allows him to communicate quite as well as a person with hearing capabilities. Hal is a fighter and it was naturally instilled in him to never give up.
An amazing story indeed as Hal's wife, who also became deaf as a little girl. They have two wonderful sons, both hearing, who motivates Hal to keep fighting to achieve the best life possible regardless of those things we call "challenges."
