Air France Chooses Wordbee to Automate the Translation of All Their Websites
Wordbee, a leading provider of translation management solutions, announces that it has been selected by Air France to support the translation of their 90 websites. Each year, between 1.5 and 2 million words are translated into 21 languages by Air France
Soleuvre, Luxembourg, June 30, 2017 --(PR.com)-- In 2016, all Air France websites together recorded 380 million visits and generated a turnover of 3 billion euros.
The selection of Wordbee is the result of an exhaustive study starting in 2016 of web-based Translation Management Systems (TMS) by the Digital Content team. The goal of Air France is to automate their translation processes, to manage more efficiently the translation projects and ultimately reduce translation costs. After conducting a pilot project, Wordbee was chosen, in particular for the quality of their project automation technology called CoDyT™ (Continuous and Dynamic Translation).
The Cloud solution is actually being deployed and involves 8 copywriters of the Content Management team as well as Air France’s dedicated translation service provider. The solution is made up of Wordbee Translator (a collaborative translation editing and project management platform), and Wordbee Beebox, a connectivity solution interfacing with Open Text’s TeamSite CMS (Content Management System).
The solution automates translation processes, reuses previously translated content, and controls translation costs through reporting tools and Business Analytics.
"We chose Wordbee for its ease of use and the quality of their translation technology, but also for the proximity and the quality of the support their team offers. The expected returns will be quite important and we hope for a significant decrease of our localization costs over the next 6 months once the entire process has been implemented – and in particular thanks to the use of translation memories. But beyond that, Wordbee will enable us to add consistency to our translations, to increase the quality by eliminating errors when updating and to put our translated content online faster,” said Jérémy Henry, Director of Digital Content at Air France.
