Children can do coding by robot called "Dash."
Bangkok, Thailand, July 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- As we know, we are moving into the digital age or Thailand 4.0. In the future, technology will become more vital in everyday life and there will be more companies that plan to replace human workers with robots. For this reason, teaching the programming language is important in this era and it is a good preparation for everyone in this technological change.
By the corporation of Waiwai Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd and Wonder Workshop; therefore, established a coding and programming workshop on the 13th May 2017 at Asoke Tower. This workshop taught children to learn the fundamental concept of coding with a robot and were honored by Mr Waris Candra, the expert STEM educator to conduct this workshop.
The robot that makes coding fun is called "Dash." It originates from the United States and has been used over 10,000 primary schools worldwide.
Children can do coding by dragging and dropping a series of commands with Wonder Workshop applications which are the form of graphical programming and computer fluency. This is easier for children to understand. Within the applications, there are missions in various levels that children must complete. Children can also design their own missions for the robot like performing a dance, moving into a square, making sounds or flashing Leds even play music.
In addition, children learn to work as a team to accomplish the challenges given to them. For example, how to write a code to make the robot find the way out of the maze.
While children were writing code, they have developed the skills of the problem-solving and logical thinking through STEM concept which is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM learning has become more popular in many schools and has vital for everyone for living and working today.
