Zane’s Inc. Acquires 20/20 Special Markets to Become Premier Housewares Supplier in the Premium and Incentive Industry
Zane's Inc. Acquires 20/20 Special Markets Inc.
New Haven, CT, July 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Zane’s Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of 20/20 Special Markets Inc., the process of transitioning the operations including distribution, customer service, and sales begins July 1, 2017.
For 25 years, Zane’s has flourished due to a company wide commitment to best in class customer service and on time delivery of orders affording Zane’s the enviable position as the leading supplier to the Special Markets/Premium & Incentive industry. Since 2005, Zane's has diversified from its original offering of bicycles, into several different outdoor and recreational segments. The acquisition of 20/20, along with the 2016 migration of the EXP Group, positions housewares as a key component to the Zane’s family. 20/20, under the direction of Chris Ianello, has built a successful and robust business in the housewares category while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to the clients.
The new housewares portfolio will encompass the full line of Groupe SEB brands including T-Fal, All-Clad, Rowenta, Krups, and Lagostina. In addition, other complimentary brands including Zwilling, J.A. Henckels, Bradshaw International, Peugeot, Bodum, and John Boos complete this impressive lineup. Managing this multitude of brands enables Zane’s to provide customers the premier offering in the channel encompassing best in class brands, with both “value price” and “high end” appeal.
Since virtually all current 20/20 customers transact business with Zane’s, the merger will facilitate minimal disruption in transitioning customer orders through the Zeus™ (Zane’s Enterprise Utility System) supplier platform. Most customers are currently exchanging data with the Zeus™ platform to facilitate communication through EDI, Flat File Exchanges, hosted FTP sites, as well as full inventory feeds, which provides an ideal opportunity as they look to grow with Zane’s. The use of this electronic interface enables new and current customers to quickly add, maintain, and grow their selection of Zane’s in-house and Zane’s drop ship partner’s products.
The transition process will be completed by the end of the 2017 calendar year. Rolling into 2018, Zane's will provide an elite portfolio of housewares offerings in a “One Stop Shop” scenario for the premium incentive channel customers. Continuing the 20/20 business model, Zane’s will purchase and stock product, for all brands, while moving the warehouse and shipping to Zane’s CT facility. Also, Mr. Ianello has accepted a managerial role, supporting the transition and growth strategy of the business along with maintaining continuity for all customers. Under the direction of Warren Weaver, Zane’s will now truly field a “Dream Team” including Nadia Pascale, Liz Kiley, Bob Mazzone, and Chris Ianello, along with 30 of the most respected Premium and Incentive Reps in the country.
