RAIDIX’s Partner AC&NC Dubbed “Tzar of Storage”
AC&NC, the US partner of data storage vendor RAIDIX, is heading towards its 25th anniversary backed by full customer satisfaction and IT media recognition in the US and beyond.
Pittsburgh, PA, July 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Advanced Computer & Network Corporation (AC&NC) founded by Gene Leyzarovich in the early 1990s is a manufacturer of RAIDIX-powered JetStor data storage appliances. The customer base for AC&NC’s RAID solutions in the US, Canada, Australia, Asia, and Western and Eastern Europe spans over 4,000 companies.
In a recent print publication, the prestigious Pittsburgh Technology Council named Leyzarovich the “tzar of storage,” acknowledging AC&NC’s vast experience in design and implementation of complex storage systems, as well as an extensive customer list encompassing such top brands and organizations as Sony, Microsoft, Starbucks, NASA, Carnegie Mellon University, and Yale University.
“We’re excited to celebrate our five-year partnership with RAIDIX,” said Gene Leyzarovich, president of AC&NC. “JetStor storage appliances powered by RAIDIX have been deployed at customer sites worldwide and have proven to deliver market-leading performance, data protection, and value. We look forward to many more years of working with the RAIDIX team to expand our customer base and collaborate on new projects.”
In 2017, RAIDIX and AC&NC (JetStor) have celebrated 5 years of successful cooperation. Over the years, the JetStor appliances based on RAIDIX have demonstrated leading throughput and IOPS in data-intensive industries. In standard configurations, the systems include 16 to 48 drives with extraordinary scalability. JetStor’s hardware configurations encompass iSCSI 10G and 1G ports, as well as optional 12G, 16G and 40G SAS-ports.
JetStor arrays utilize the patented RAID 6, 7.3 and N+M levels, ensuring high performance and fault-tolerance. RAID 7.3, for one, survives failure of up to three drives in an array without performance degradation.
Based on best-in-class RAID technologies, JetStor supports a wide range of professional and enterprise applications, and meets both SMB market needs and stringent high-availability requirements demanded by HPC, video production, cloud infrastructures, etc.
AC&NC’s first system deliveries rarely exceeded 32 GB capacity; today, the JetStor appliances are packed with 10 TB drives. At that, the RAIDIX-powered systems scale up and scale out smoothly upon request with minimal hardware overhead.
The RAIDIX partner network includes over 30 countries in North America, EMEA, and the Far East. The partners employ RAIDIX management software for building comprehensive high-performance storage systems, or as a key component in complex IT projects. Aside from distribution of the RAIDIX software, RAIDIX performs configuration of multi-node storage clusters and training for partner managers worldwide.
