Valentine’s Day Special Announcement from Legendary Chubby Checker About the Valenti Foundation’s Tribute to 45 Years of Valentino Fashion
Rancho Santa Fe, CA, February 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Valenti Foundation and Valenti International, Founders of Traditional Matchmaking, revealed today that the legendary Chubby Checker will be at its Rancho Santa Fe world headquarters in person to make a special announcement on Thursday February 14, 2008, Valentine’s Day, regarding its fundraiser for homeless children in San Diego County, The Valenti Foundation’s Tribute to 45 Years of Valentino Fashion.
“I’m flying in to San Diego for one reason,” says the legendary Checker, “to make a big announcement regarding our fundraiser, The Valenti Foundation’s Tribute to 45 Years of Valentino Fashion. I want to help these kids get off the street and into good, solid homes where they will thrive. And, to accomplish that, we need to raise money---a lot of money. The fact that we are making the announcement on Valentine’s Day and at Valenti is no coincidence, after all, Valenti International is the expert when it comes to matters of the heart and making people happy.”
For the first time in Valenti’s history, the media is invited to the Valenti International estate between 3:00pm and 5:30pm for the exclusive announcement by Chubby Checker, including interview opportunities with the legendary rocker whose signature song is “The Twist”. Checker will headline the The Valenti Foundation’s Tribute to 45 Years of Valentino Fashion spectacular to benefit homeless and foster children in San Diego County on Saturday April 12, 2008. Valenti International is hosting the event that will raise money for “A Children’s Village” in San Diego’s East County, which will be a new home for more than 200 parentless children. The April 12th event will feature an installation of Valentino’s 45 years of fashion.
A Children’s Village is a project of Fr. Joe’s Villages and will be located at the Flying A Ranch: a 125-acre, pastoral setting surrounded by rolling hills and sweeping mountain views in beautiful east San Diego County. Currently under development, the ranch will serve as home for neglected children where they can discover a world of sunrises and have room to play while receiving the guidance and caring they need to flourish.
