Girls Gone Forex Dedicates Scholarship in Memory of Heroes of Hollywood Recipient, Kaneisha Northern to Honor Her Achievements and Bring Awareness to Multiple Sclerosis
Girls Gone Forex is dedicating their August Scholarship in memory of Kaneisha Northern, the award-winning Social Entrepreneur.
Austin, TX, August 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- In memory of Kaneisha Northern who passed away on August 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and in unity with Kaneisha's best friend and GGFX University student, Naaomee Claire-Robinson, Girls Gone Forex will be dedicating the Trade Like A Girl Academy August scholarship to honor Kaneisha's outstanding accomplishments as an award-winning social entrepreneur and amazing work as Founder of Grad Girls Network.
Kaneisha founded Grad Girls Network in 2009 with the mission to provide mentorship for young girls in lower income neighborhoods in Los Angeles, CA. She connected middle school and high school girls to positive role models and mentors and provided opportunities for them to give back to their communities as well. After being diagnosed with MS she continued running Girls Grad Network until she was physically no longer able to do so..
Kaneisha was invited to the White House four times but was only able to attend twice due to her MS symptoms preventing her from traveling. Last year she attended the Women's Summit at the White House while in a wheelchair, despite her discomfort. Kaneisha was also honored with a 'Heroes of Hollywood' award for her exceptional service.
"You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only option"---According to Naomi these are words that Kaneisha lived by over the last few years and those words will continue to speak to who she is and will forever be.
Girls Gone Forex proudly celebrates the life of Kaneisha Northern by giving away this scholarship in her name for the month of August as well as the month of March which is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month.
