EMC3 Chairman Baba Epega Announces $100 Million Project Bringing Motorsports to Nigeria
West Africa’s 1st Motorsports Racetrack and Leisure Park is set to be open in a $100 Million project. The Ogun State Motorsport (OSM) is a project proposed by EMC3's (London, Nigeria, Boston) Baba Epega, who is London based, nutured and supported by His Excellency Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Nigeria. The brief for OSM is to create a Motorsport and Leisure Facility, a place to relax, train, educate.
London, United Kingdom, August 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Driven International will be working with EMC3 Nigeria, on behalf of Ogun State to design the new motorsport development. Work is now firmly underway to develop a detailed schematic master plan which will assess the true technical and financial viability of the project and help to shape the offering of a new motorsport hub, which is expected to include a variety of automotive training and education facilities.
"Our aim is to develop Ogun State as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for job creation and training," said Baba Epega, EMC3 Chairman and Founder.
The 500Ha development is also expected to include other sports and leisure activities zones as well as onsite accommodation to support the development and create a new exciting attraction for the people of Ogun State and Nigeria.
There is a large scope for Manufacturers and Automotive Companies to get involved as there will be training institutions, showrooms and test centres in the Racetrack complex.
“The project is at an early stage so we will need to refine the designs, with input from the required governing bodies and stakeholders. We experienced excellent hospitality during our stay in Nigeria and we are truly excited at the opportunity to be part of Nigeria’s first international motorsport project,” said Ben Willshire, Managing Director of Driven International.
EMC3 have worked on a number of high profile projects in the past including with companies like Google, Bentley, Cartier, LinkedIn and New York University’s Stern School of Business. They recently held a very high profile international fashion conference and seminar with UK GQ Editor Dylan Jones and Fashion Designer Julien MacDonald amongst the speakers.
