Wilmington, NC, August 19, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Flores and Foley Roofing, a well-known Cape Fear region roofing contractor has come up with a novel idea to take advantage of an event that will not occur again in North America until 2024, the August 21st, 2017 total solar eclipse.

Owner and Co-Founder, Peter Foley says, “My partner and I have over 45 years in the roofing business, but have never had the opportunity to take advantage of a celestial happening before. We saw that several major corporations were doing things to leverage the event,” he added. “Krispy Crème is doing an ‘eclipse frosting’, and Chiquita Banana is playing around with the crescent or banana-shape at the beginning and end of the solar event on their website and elsewhere. So we had our advertising agency come up with something that shows that for us in the roofing business, an eclipse offers a brief opportunity to cool off in the middle of the day, and we think they nailed it, pun intended,” he said smiling.

The ads can be seen from exactly 1:19 PM until 4:09 PM on August 21st on a Tedder Media billboard located on Eastwood Avenue across from Audi of Cape Fear and another on Carolina Beach Road. They will also air as commercials on ABC and CBS during that same time.
