Holy Child Academy 5K Run/Walk Set for Sept. 23 in Drexel Hill, Pa.

Drexel Hill, PA, August 25, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Holy Child Academy 5K Run/Walk and One-Mile Kids’ Run takes off Saturday, September 23 at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Child Academy.

The USATF-certified course takes participants through the tree-lined streets of Drexel Park and offers challenges for accomplished runners and plenty of fun for the more recreationally minded in the field. There will be a water stop halfway through the race to provide a boost for the final push home, and all who join in will be able to enjoy refreshments afterward as they cool off and watch the awards ceremony. Registration is underway, and the first 100 who sign up will receive a free cotton T-shirt. Pre-registration fee is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the one-mile fun run. On-site registration on 9/23 begins at 7:30 a.m. There also will be activities for children. Proceeds benefit the Holy Child Academy athletic programs.
