Parker Symphony Announces Their 2017-2018 Season
The Parker Symphony Orchestra has announced their 2017-2018 season presented by Parker Arts. It includes the annual "A Classic Parker Holiday" and a performance of the Grieg Piano Concerto.
Parker, CO, August 26, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Parker Symphony Orchestra has announced their 2017-2018 season presented by Parker Arts. It will include the popular annual holiday concerts in December with the Parker Chorale as well as what will surely be the highlight of the year – a performance of the Grieg Piano Concerto in May by soloist Heidi Leathwood.
The first concert on October 27 is titled “Sounds of the Deep” and will feature pieces appropriate for Halloween including songs from Phantom of the Opera, Dvorak’s “The Water Goblin,” and Debussy’s “La Cathedrale Engloutie” (The Submerged Cathedral).
Tickets are available at the PACE Center online box office (https://parkerarts.ticketforce.com/), by phone at 303-805-6800 or in person at the PACE Center. Ticket prices range from $24-$29 per ticket.
The Parker Symphony typically plays four programs per year. In addition to the previously mentioned concerts, on February 23 they will present “Gone Too Soon: Composers Who Died At A Young Age.”
The Parker Symphony is an all-volunteer community orchestra made up of amateur musicians and music professionals who enjoy playing together at the PACE Center. Established in 1994, their mission is to perform orchestral music that will educate, entertain, and inspire the people of Parker, Colorado and the surrounding communities. Their goal is to offer interesting and entertaining concerts to tempt everyone’s musical palate.
