Dallas, TX, August 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Real estate attorney Sharon Reuler is a charter member of the select Common Interest Ownership Committee, which was re-established in January 2015 by the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. "Because Texas has many excellent HOA lawyers, it's a privilege to be one of only six appointed to serve," said Reuler.
"The Common Interest Ownership Committee has had 9 lives," continued Reuler, who also served on the initial Committee appointed by the REPTL Section in 1979, and on most of its re-formations. "Because the REPTL Section does not encourage large standing committees, the new Committee is designed to be small, geographically diverse, and tasked with measurable goals."
According to Reuler, "The Committee was re‑born because of a happy convergence. In the winter of 2014, REPTL Section leaders discussed whether to pursue specialization for Texas real estate attorneys who practice property owners association law. At the same time, a prominent POA lawyer happened to suggest that REPTL form a new Common Interest Ownership Committee. Voilà! REPTL Section appoints the new Committee to investigate the possibility of legal specialization for Texas POA lawyers, among other goals."
Based in Dallas, Sharon Reuler represents Texas real estate developers who create common interest developments governed by property owners associations. For more information about Sharon Reuler, please visit http://www.txlandlaw.com
