Detroit’s Dave Landau to Headline Inaugural Stand-Up Festival
Detroit, MI, August 30, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The inaugural Motor City Comedy Festival, a three day comedy event focusing on stand-up comedy, will be taking place in Detroit September 22-24, 2017 and will feature fifty comedians bringing their jokes to a variety of venues with Dave Landau as the first featured headliner.
Dave Landau has notably appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live” as well as performances at comedy clubs throughout the United States. Landau states, “Detroit is the city where I started and where I live. The comedy community has always produced great talents and it's about time we had a legitimate comedy festival. I'm very honored that I was asked to be a part of the first one and I'm really looking forward to my headline show.” Also appearing on Dave Landau’s featured show at the Majestic Cafe are Sam Ike (Second City/NBC Universal Breakout Festival), Lauren Uchalik (LaughFest), and Sam Tallent (Comedy Central’s “Roast Battle” and Viceland’s “Flophouse”).
Advance tickets are available now on EventBrite. Ticket prices currently range from $5 for a single showcase to $50 for a full weekend pass. Tickets for Dave Landau’s headlining show on Friday night are $15. Ticket prices will increase September 9, so it is suggested that audience members buy their tickets in advance. Shows during the festival will be taking place at a variety of venues such as El Club, Majestic Cafe, Park Bar, Rusted Crow, and Third Man Records. Other featured headliners include Jay Light and Frank Castillo (Comedy Central's "Roast Battle") and Sean Patton ("Best Bars in America").
