Unicorn Goods Opens Voting for the First Ever 2017 Best of Vegan Awards™

Providence, RI, September 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Unicorn Goods, the world’s largest vegan store, has just announced open voting for the 2017 Best of Vegan Awards™. Known as the "Hornys™" (after the unicorn horn-shaped award), the annual awards will recognize the year’s best vegan products, organizations, and leaders across 41 categories, including Most Innovative Vegan Company and Best Vegan Product.

Winners will be announced on World Vegan Day, November 1st, the international holiday recognizing the rapidly growing vegan movement.

Unicorn Goods — the company that runs UnicornGoods.com, a website that lists the largest number of vegan products in the world, ranging from clothing and personal care to books and home goods — was established in 2014 to meet the growing demand for vegan products. The company is a Public Benefit Corporation with a mission to reduce animal suffering by selling and promoting animal-free products.

Vegans abstain from consuming animal products for ethical and health reasons, and for many, this includes avoiding animal materials in clothing and other products. The number of vegans in the United States has increased by 600% in recent years to now include an estimated 19 million people, according to a study published by market research group Global Data (source: Vegan Trade Journal).
