Helping Bags Celebrates Three Years of Service
Helping the homeless since summer 2014 Helping Bags has donated over 10,000 bags.
Los Angeles, CA, September 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Helping Bags is proud to celebrate its third year of helping the homeless community. Founded the Summer of 2014 by Evan Pickens, Helping Bags had a simple mission to give back directly to people in need. Since then Helping Bags have been handed out the last weekend of every month to the homeless population of San Diego and most recently Los Angeles. Helping Bags contain essential items needed for basic survival on the streets from toilet paper to food. An estimated 10,000 bags and bottles of Helping Bags water have been distributed, all of no charge to the people receiving them.
Since 2014 the rate of the homeless population has greatly increased and shows no sign of stopping. Access to shelters is difficult for some homeless people due to location and lack of transportation. Also most shelters have specific lunch hours which limits the amount of people they can feed. Helping Bags is a mobile operation that delivers bags directly to people on the street no matter their location.
Helping Bags plans on extending its reach into San Francisco by 2018. To learn more about Helping Bags and how you can help visit http://www.helpingbags.com
