CommuniCamp™ is an intensive group treatment program for children between the ages of 4 and 12 with Selective Mutism. Jenkintown, PA, September 10, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Two earlier CommuniCamp™ programs this year were sold out and drew families from throughout the United States and internationally. To enroll in the October 2017 CommuniCamp™ group therapy program, visit. www.CommuniCamp.org.
What makes the CommuniCamp™ program so special?
CommuniCamp™ is based on the proven, evidenced-based S-CAT® (Social Communication Anxiety Treatment®) approach pioneered by SMart Center Director Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum, which has been used to successfully treat more than 5,000 children around the world.
Families travel from around the world to learn from top experts in the field.
CommuniCamp is for parents too. Parents will receive intensive education and support sessions each day of the camp.
Parents will receive written information and learn step by step strategies to help their child in the real world, home with guests and within the school setting.
Unlike some camps, children do not have to be verbal with any adults to attend the SMart Center CommuniCamp™ program.
All families who attended past CommuniCamps recommended the camp to others.
During camp, children will connect with other children who feel as they do. Working with trained counselors and clinicians, children will participate in game playing and hands on activities, where children will learn step by step strategies to improve communication.
